1. Full time employment plus potential overtime. Employees are paid at an hourly rate plus time and one-half for overtime hours worked.
2. Work weeks can vary from 5-8 hour days to 4-10 hour days for the  employee’s regular schedule.

Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic
Evans City, PA
Seneca Landfill, Inc. is seeking a heavy equipment diesel mechanic to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy diesel equipment.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assess, diagnose, and repair heavy diesel equipment such as dozers, exacvators, rock trucks, and compactors.

- Also service light service equipment and light trucks.

- Typical repairs include but are not limited to: hydraulic, fuel, exhaust, brake, suspension, electrical, HVAC, and emission systems.

- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.

- Able to follow written and verbal instructions.

- Adaptable to changing work environments, competing demands, and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum 3 years experience troubleshooting and repairing problems with heavy diesel equipment.

- High school diploma or GED.

- Must possess a valid driver's license.

- Employees must provide their own safety-approved work boots.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Ability to sit/stand, walk, climb, bend/twist, crouch/crawl, and push/pull required.

- Ability to lift/carry upwards of 50-75 lbs. for short distances.
